The man who died in the fatal collision at the intersection of Bowker and McCabe roads was a Border Patrol agent, according to a blog post by the local Border Patrol union.
Agent Francisco Puga, 26, of the El Centro Sector died while driving on his way to work, according to the website.

A man died Friday afternoon after a collision at Bowker and McCabe roads southeast of El Centro.
The man, who has not been identified, was driving a Kia Rio northbound on Bowker Road approaching the intersection, while a 43-year-old female was traveling westbound in another vehicle, said Officer Ernesto Ruedas with the California Highway Patrol. The investigation is ongoing as to what caused the two to collide, but they did and both vehicles rolled over off the roadway.
The man was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, Ruedas said. He died on scene.
The woman was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center, and the extent of her injuries was not immediately known.
