Today my partner, my friend, my brother will be taken off life support. Correctional Peace Officer Stephen Chesley I am going to miss you my brother. I am so sorry this is happening to you. You will always be in my heart and thoughts. You are the perfect example of a friend and officer. I am proud to have the opportunity to have worked with you and to be your friend. Your service to this country in the Gulf War makes you a hero and warrior. And your service with the California Department of Corrections make you a Gladiator. Your love for our country and for your family was always known to everyone who met you. Steve you will never be forgotten.
Steve is a military history buff. So I know he would appreciate this tribute video.

A beautifully fitting tribute to an American warrior! Hopefully the department will allow Chesley such a tribute when he is laid to rest.
